VOLUNTEER WITH THE FATHER’S HEART
We offer a wide range of volunteer opportunities, and we’re always looking for qualified individuals to assist with our ongoing fundraising efforts and outreach programs. You can help by coordinating between us and your church, serving food at one of our catering events, or directly participating in the building or delivery of baskets. Each of our outreach programs has a place for you to make a difference!
SOCIAL MEDIA & MARKETING
Be part of a team that has an overall goal of 100,000 audience size on Facebook.
- Like/react to posts and share 2 posts each week
- Tag someone who would personally enjoy a post 1 time a week
- Invite others to like/follow The Father’s Heart
- Contribute thoughts and ideas for future posts
- Attend quarterly meetings with the larger social media team
Be part of a team that has an overall goal of 25,000 Instagram followers.

Video Editing
Be part of a collaborative team that captures and/or edits content to help promote The Father’s Heart’s mission.
- Capture, edit, and share content for The Father’s Heart
- Edit existing footage captured by staff and volunteers for program marketing
- Assist leaders with the planning and execution of future videos
FUNDRAISING & EXPANSION
Monthly Giving
Be part of a team that helps build a monthly foundation of support for The Father’s Heart.
- Assist with growing our Monthly Giver community
- Various tasks include updating payment information, data maintenance, donor relationship building, and more
Grants
Help raise funds through grant writing to promote TFH’s mission and reach more families.
- Assist in managing and applying of grants
- Maintain high level of organization while managing various applications with different requirements
Partner Recruitment
Actively search for new opportunities to grow and extend TFH’s outreach to reach more families. By exploring new partnerships and innovative solutions, we aim to broaden our impact and provide essential support to more families in need.
- Connect with local churches to spread the word about The Father’s Heart mission and needs
- Coordinate informational sessions, volunteer recruitment, and BBQ fundraisers with churches
Fundraising
Be part of a public facing team that helps expand the reach of TFH and increase impact through community engagement and fundraising efforts.
- Be part of the catering team for Southern Smoke events
- Assist with various roles at the annual Bass Fishing Tournament in March including setup, registration, and participant assistance
- Spread the word about the TFH Bass Fishing Tournament by handing out flyers at other tournaments
- Seek out local businesses to become partners with the TFH annual Bass Tournament
- Connect with local businesses for donations of goods or services towards the Bass Tournament raffle
Donor Connection
Be a part of a team who engages regularly with donors to help them see the impact of their giving and feel good about it.
- Recognize notable donor milestones from their first gift throughout their lifetime of giving
- Build meaningful relationships through regular communication and touchpoints
- Engage donors through online and direct mail platforms
- Assist with creation of thank you cards/materials and mailing campaigns
- Periodically write and send handwritten notes
FAMILY OUTREACH
Route Coordination
Assist in logistics of delivering to over 100 families each month
- Maintain an up-to-date list of families being served by TFH
- Coordinate new referrals and work into existing routes
- Monitor family engagement by communicating with Family Connection Volunteers and adjust routes as needed
Family Connection and Support
Be part of the “boots on the ground” team that demonstrates the love of Christ. This role involves not only delivering essentials but also establishing a personal connection through empathetic listening and offering prayer to support families in need.
- Deliver food baskets to families on a designated route
- Maintain a connection with the families on the route by calling them at least 2 weeks after food delivery
Grocery Distribution Preparation
Be part of a team the prepares the grocery bags that will be delivered to the families in need.
- Organize and sort pantry items into bags
- After food distribution each month, complete an inventory of items to determine groceries needed for the next month’s deliveries
Grocery and Donation Pick-up
Be part of a team that ensures we have the inventory from local businesses at the storage facility each month
- Pick up grocery items and donations as needed and deliver them to the storage facility
